G2 Utilities is looking for individuals to join our full-time meter installation team. The Meter Installers are responsible for safely and efficiently replacing water meters on residential or commercial property.

 

Essential Functions

Check existing meter, install replacement meter, and perform final meter test. Accurately collect customer data and document the installations in writing and with handheld device. Achieve specified standards of safety and quality of work. Meet installation rate as established by the Project Manager.

 

Additional Responsibilities: Work closely with colleagues and superiors to maintain a professional environment.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Required: 

Previous working experience in the utility or construction field. General field-based work experience will also be considered, unless otherwise noted.

 

High School Diploma or GED. 

Valid Driver's License.

Clear 3-year moving vehicle report.

Must be available to travel to various job sites.

Must be comfortable interacting with customers while upholding G2 Utilities customer standards.

Must have the ability to use assigned tools properly and work within safety guidelines.

Knowledge of/ability to work with technology, computers, and various software programs.

 

Physical Demand

Physical ability to work in an outdoor environment, including, but not limited to: Walking, climbing, and stooping for up to 10 hours per day in all types of weather conditions.

Preferred

Previous experience installing or repairing WATER, ELECTRIC, and/or GAS meters.

Compensation per day based on experience.
